Friends from school

While in miami, I also had the chance to get together with some of my friends from high school. One night we went to Pilar's apartment, Jimena I, Maria Lucia and Ximena were there too. Andres got the chance to play with Emma (Jimena's daughter) and with Pilar's cat (though he was a bit scared). We also spent a morning with Ale Riveros and Fiorella Federicci (not from school, but know her since then). We got the chance to chat and remember stories. I don;t have any pictures yet but will post them as soon as I can.

Museum of science and discovery

One of the days we were in Miami we went to the Museum of Science and Discovery. They had an special area for toddlers and lots fo animals. They also had a plane simulator where Jorge and Andres spent a lot of time pretending to pilot a plane.

Patty's house

The last days of our trip we stayed at Patty's house (Jorge's cousin). Andres couldn;t be happier, not only for being surrounded by family, but because there was a little dog in the house and he ADORES dogs. We had a great time with them, it is so nice to be able to spend time with family !!..

Pool

The weather was pretty good at Miami so we could go to the pool a couple of times. Andres really liked it, specially when his dad played with him pretending to be a dolphin. We have tons of pictures, but here is my favorite of both of them. (See the link at the right to see all the pictures)

Helga and Klaus

We also visited Helga and Klaus. It was great to see both kids playing together again (haven't seen them since May !!). Helga was about to deliver when we saw her, actually she had her little girl, Emma a couple of days after we saw her. They also sang happy birthday to me !! :)

Andres was a bit confused when we saw my aunt Lucy (sister's mom), he thought she was my mom. Andres really enjoyed the time with them. We visited twice, one morning and one night for dinner. We pre-celebrated my birthday there. We had a great time, and food was delicious !!

Trip to Miami

We went to miami for a week... and were so lucky that it was the coldest week in Minnesota so far. Everybody in Miami was complaining about the cold weather, but for us it was GREAT !.

We got the chance to visit family and friends, I will be posting some pictures and videos in different posts.

Emmas Birthday playdate

We had a playdate at Emma's house the week of her birthday so Angie had some cupcakes and juices for all the kids, they all enjoy the time there, specially singing happy birthday and eating the yummy cupcakes Angie prepared !!...

Tour to rainbow

We went with some moms of the moms club to a Rainbow (supermarket) store. The kids had a great time specially because of all the treats they gave them during the tour. They got apples, cookies, juice, yogurt, a paper hat, etc... It was geared more to preschoolers, but still Andres enjoyed it and we had some nice time out with friends.

We finally moved Andres to his new room. We were pretty surprised in how fast he got used to it. We thought he was going to try to get out of his bed every minute but he hasn't. Actually he will stay in his bed and call us in the morning before we tries to get down.
The good thing was that we moved him to his room the week before we went to Miami, so he did great in the hotel bed as well. Our little baby is growing SO fast !!

It's been a long time !!!

I can't believe it has been so long since the last time I wrote... guess I will have a lot to post today. I guess I have been napping more in the past weeks, my belly is getting bigger and therefore I'm getting more tired and needing the naps much more.

We've had very good playdates lately... with all the older and younger kids... our group is getting so big !!... Andres enjoys playing with his friends, specially since we can go out that much due to the cold weather.

Growing and Growing !!!

As every month... I got a picture taken of me in the deck with my (now) huge belly... it is amazing how much I have grown in the past month !! I am 3 months away and it seems too long to wait !!...

Playing in the snow.

Jorge bought Andres a snowsled a few days ago, but it has been so cold that we were not able to take him out to play with it. This weekend the temperature rised... ok, still pretty cold, but at least above zero (Celcius). Andres really enjoyed playing in the snow and sledding down our neighbors hills. Their house is empty because they just moved so we didn't feel guilty about invading their backyard.

Last week

This week we didn't do much, there was no storytime nor ECFE. We stayed at home for New Year's eve, saw a movie, had a late dinner, played Trivia and waited until 12:00 am to drink a glass of champagne and then go to bed.

On New Year's day we went to Shruthi's house to play a game with her and Seema's family, we had it scheduled for saturday but Alay was born early, so we had it that day. We played Cranium and......WE WON !!!

During the week Andres went to school and did GREAT !!... I was scared about him going back because he hadn't gone for 2 weeks, but he barely cried and participated in all the activities.

On friday we had our weekly playdate at Tommy's house, all the kids had fun playing with Tommy's new toys.

Andres and his new room

We are in the process of moving Andres to a new room. We already painted it, have his bog boy bed there, and already ordered the rest of the furniture. In the meantime, we are trying to get him used to it, so we put his Geotrax (his favorite toy nowadays) in that room and he spends hours playing with it. He also pretends to sleep in the bed, but we will not move him to the room until it is totally finished and everything is there so we can close his other room and not confuse him doing one thing in one and one in the other. Welcome Alay !!!

On the 28th of December, Aarohi's little brother Alay was born. He shares his birthday with Aarohi !

That morning, Andres, Roshin and Aarohi had a playdate to keep her company while we waited for the news of the baby. They had a lot of fun, playing and watching "The Jungle book".
